Heat Embossing on Photos

Gather required supplies:
* photo/s
* pigment ink
* stamps
* embossing powder
* heat gun
* sandpaper

Step 1

Lightly sand area to be stamped, this helps to prevent stamp slipping whilst stamping and photo paper bubbling during heating.

Step 2

Stamp image in desired position using pigment ink ~ these are slower drying allowing time to apply embossing powder.

Step 3

a) Apply a generous quantity of embossing powder over the stamped image.

b) Tap excess embossing powder off the photo. I go to the trouble of cleaning stray specks of embossing powder from around the image, using a cotton bud.

Step 4

Set embossing powder with heat gun. Do not allow heat to concentrate, keep heat gun moving like when using a hair dryer. I heat from behind initially and then finish off on the front, being careful to not bubble photo.

Allow several minutes for embossing to cool and dry.

Your photo is now ready for use in your next creation.

ahh that is so cool i never knew you COULD heat emboss on a photo...

hmm i better not try my heat embosser is a PAINT STRIPPER GUN lol!! it would fry it i think.
