Happy National Scrapbooking Day

Are all scrapping today I know I am.

And what would a scrap store blog be without a little scrap project posted on NSD.

So here is a birthday card and gift bag I made up using some of my scraps of Kraft and Basic Grey papers.

Card

Step 1-Cut white bazzil to 13 by 20.5 cms, score, fold and ink edges

Step 2-Cut a piece of Kraft to 12 by 9 cms distress and ink edges.

Step 3-Stamp the fish stamp onto the kraft and then onto some Basic Grey Infuse Salt paper. Add some colour to the kraft stamped image and cut out the other image ink edges and 3d over the kraft one.

Step 4-Cut a strip of Basic GreyInfuse Saturate paper 1 by 12 cms, layer a length of ribbon over the top and staple both to the kraft then attach to the card front.

Step 5- Stamp the greeting onto a scrap of Infuse paper, trim, distress and ink edges and layer over the staple with 3d tape.

Step 6-Adhere several buttons on other side covering the staple.

Gift bag

Step 1- Cut a piece of Basic Grey Infuse Salt paper to 10 by 5 cms and a piece of Kraft to 9.5 by 4.5 cms ink and distress edges.

Step 2- Stamp greeting onto the kraft.

Step 3- Attach a 1 by 5cm strip of Basic Grey Infuse Saturate paper and strip of ribbon to craft by staple, layer onto the Kraft then attach to the front of bag.

Step 4-Punch out a circle from the Kraft ink and distress edges, layer onto a scrap of Basic Grey Infuse Salt paper and trim to leave a slight border inking and distressing the edges. With a small scrap of the Basic Grey Infuse Saturate paper and ribbon decorate to match greeting tag, attach to the top of the bag. Apply a small piece of DSTto the under side of circle so that the bag can be closed.

Now on NSD I've got a blog challenge for you all.

I would like you to share with us a card and matching gift bag or box that you have made up to be in the running for a rak in the post from my stash. Post a link to your creation in the comments sections of this post by the 20th May and I'll pick out a winner.

Until then have fun scrapping on NSD and I'll see you all in Therapy.

We both loved what you did and that will be one paper bag Jeff is not throwing out. Thanks so much Julie for being such a talented, creative friend.

Have uploaded box & card in gallery but not sure how to show link here. Was going to do Julie's card and bag for her b'day pressie but didn't realise this had to be loaded by today so had to use another pressie I had in the works.
